Because the people who raped Chiwoo were the antagonists of the story! Of course they're going to do terrible things! Hwan is literally the person Chiwoo loves the most in the world and was painted to be a good person, of course it's going to upset people to know he did this to someone (barely even conscious might i add) that trusts and loves him!
