the sister was the only one who gave him love and affection after his mother died. I think that is why he fell in love with her

That's probably because she always died

Elzay always died before ml could know she existed so the feelings he was supposed to have for elzay was directed towards lisa, reason? i still dont understand how. they mentioned it somewhere in the webtoon tho

As I understood, the reason why Aseph from the book fell for Lisa because Elzay didn't exist because Primesta sent Elzay's soul to the girl who read the book. That was in order to save Zay from dying repeatedly for Aseph since Primesta is very fond of Elzay. So instead of Elzay, Aseph targeted Lissa just like what happened at the first encounter of Zay and Aseph at the garden.

And in my opinion, I think the book was just an opening to Zay's memory in her past life with Aseph dying and her protecting him. That's why she came back again and save Aseph again even though Primesta moved say to Korea.

It's like the book was the portal for Elzay to comeback again and save Aseph.

But that's just how I understood the story though (⌒▽⌒)

Also the god said that elzay's sister shared some of her power maybe that's also the reason

I'm not sure of this so take it as a grain of salt but I heard a spoiler somewhere that Elzay either didnt exist in the book because her soul is sent to Korea or she died when young before she could meet him, I'm thinking it's probably the first one. As for why he fell in love with Elissa, it's because they're twins. Similar to how the prince also mistook Elzay when he first met her as his soulmate, Azef also mistook Elissa as his soulmate(or specifically fell in love and obsessed over her), especially when in the book, Elzay, his real soulmate doesn't even exist, he turned his love towards Elissa.

Yes she did die young, and that she kept on repeatedly dying while saving Aseph. Because she saw Aseph's life in a dream. Because she has the ability to see someone's future. And to stop Elzay from dying repeatedly, Primesta sent her to somewhere far away from her original life with Aseph. That's why in the intro, she was a high school girl. But this is just how I understood the plot. This story is really good tho. I just replied to share my opinion .
