"All he did was ignore her"
What? Did you actually read the story? He took her baby from her immediately after birth because she couldn't hold him immediately afterwards, he then refused to let her see him, locked her up and got some side bitch to be the mother. He literally drove her insane himself, her mental health last life was entirely his fault because he basically just removed her and she had to live with that.

I read the novel, he isn't simply ignoring her, I don't know if you could call it verbal abuse but the ML used to mocked the FL saying 'Like father like daughter', and when the FL goes to see ex fiancee, when she got back, he is yelled at her saying 'how dare you, you have no right to go see her, blah blah blah', The FL was so shocked that she goes into labor early. And about the FL not touching her child, what so bad about it that she need to be locked up, did she abuse her son? no, at least she watched her son all day, unlike the ML who never visited their son (for whatever reason), beside noble lady has nanny and maid to take care of their child. let just say, he have legit reason to separated her from her son since she is mentally stable, but does he really need to give her son to the ex fiancee?

Thats what it looked like from Reina’s pov, which is valid. In the novel, he intended to take Elle only until Reina can feel safe around her baby and vice versa. He didnt understand the reason why Reina seemed to “neglect” the baby the way Reina couldnt understand why he took Elle away from her, because neither of them communicating. But not long after taking Elle from her, a war broke out, and FL’s father forced him to take part in the war, or else he would harm Elle & Reina. He had no choice but to oblige, and in this TL he seemed to be powerless. His mistake in this part is how he didnt communicate this whole things with Reina. During this time, the maids treated Reina like shit & keeping her confined. The war is pretty long, around 6 years, but he never assigned his ex to be Elle’s nanny, it was FL father who brought her inside the mansion. He kept on sending Reina letter because he’s concerned about her safety & well being but the letter never reached Reina, that’s why Reina thought he had abandoned her. After the war ended, he was extremely suprised to see how his ex fiancee had become Elle’s nanny, which Elle himself seemed to think she’s his mother, and how Reina was on verge on dying. If i wasnt wrong the ex fiancee is a black magician and she did something to Reina that caused her health deteriorates greatly. I should havent cut the spoiler

Long story short, their lives are in constant danger, the imperial family were fucking bitch & Reina’s father was a dogshit with all his schemes. One time, high level assassins going after them, ML put his life on line but Reina saved him, and eventually collapsed after exhausting encounter against the assassins. In her dreams, she met Elle from the first timeline, telling her she didnt have to hold back. She interpreted this as a green light to be fully free. When she woke up, ML was on her side, all haggard from waiting her. ML confessed about his love in here, how he didnt want to lose her and so on, but Reina’s heart was already cold. She asked him why he let the past happened, abandoned her & taking Elle away from her, but the ML cant be honest about this. She then asked for divorce, the ML cried but he agreed.

She became a viscount or a count (sorry i coulnt remember this one right) a title bestowed by the emperor. They agreed to live separately but elle had to go back and forth to live with them, so like, one year with ML and another year with FL. Honestly he gets better in this TL & his relationship with Elle is improving. The novel is yet to explain how they gonna deal with FL father

This sounds... ridiculous. It doesn't matter that "he only intended to take her baby for a little bit", that he took it at all is the issue. And it's not on her to "communicate" that she doesn't want her baby taken (which she did anyways). You act like because she didn't explain why she couldn't touch the baby that he's got the green light to take it away. These things are not equal, taking it away was not a proportional response.
Something else that needs pointed out is HOW he did things, your reply seems to take that he did things calmly and reasonably, which isn't the case. He was crazy antagonistic when he took the baby, shaming her for not holding it.
It's not just the dad, maids or ex that made her understand everything the way she did, it was also her husband's attitude towards her that even made her think that him acting that way was even a possibility. If he wasn't an asshole to her face, she wouldn't have just assumed he brought in the ex and confined her because it's be out of character. How he treated her, everything made sense.

They still need to communicate about Elle during the first timeline imo, bcs how else would he know about reina’s fear of the curse if she didnt tell him? The same way about how would reina know the husband took Elle out of good cause because she couldnt take care of him? I dont blame Reina fully in here, but they both had responsibilities to speak out their thoughts about matter like this beforehand. Also i never act like he took Elle calmly & reasonably, i just said he took him. I might failed to understand the novel due to my understanding of the language but I dont recall the part of him taking Elle cruelly either. There was a time where Reina’s father warned him to always act indifferent toward Reina or else he’d do something toward his family that Edgar would definitely regret, which is why he have to purposely ignore her, and this, like you said, led to bigger problems where the maid also didnt care about Reina. Have they tried communicating this before even though he didnt love her, i believe some things could be handled better & less misunderstandings (such as Edgar purposely bringing his ex fiancee to the mansion) will occur. He’s still an asshole, i just find it hilarious how he took all the blame despite him being both a victim & a perpetrator.

This part:
"They still need to communicate about Elle during the first timeline imo, bcs how else would he know about reina’s fear of the curse if she didnt tell him?"
I don't like because you're acting as though she owes him anything for him to... not take her baby from her. She doesn't need to prove anything because he wasn't right in taking it in the first place. It'd be one thing if she had hurt the baby, but she didn't. So basically he did something bad and it sounds like you're arguing that she needs to put in effort to make him think differently so he doesn't do bad thing.
Then this part:
"The same way about how would reina know the husband took Elle out of good cause because she couldnt take care of him?"
Just feels odd, because you're framing his action as a good thing on his part, like he was trying to protect the baby from her, but he isn't qualified to know that taking the baby was what was best for either the mother or baby. Like, what's the argument here: IN HIS OPINION her mental health would get better if he took the baby, therefore he's okay in taking it? What??

Judging from your replies toward another person in the comment section i could see where you standing, you hate him, cool, we get it. I only provide spoiler context and my thoughts about this matter. I never said it was right for him to take Elle but he did it anyway, thinking thats the best to do given the current situation. She doesnt owe him explanation? Then how tf would he knows about what reina was thinking regarding their son fr
Like this whole arguments are so hilarious to me because you insisted he’s wrong and wrong and wrong but you refuse to acknowledge the motivation behind his action and keep parroting the same things as if i’m the one responsible for how things happened that way & fully excuse his behavior. All i said is THEY FUCKING NEED TO COMMUNICATE SIT YOUR ASS DOWN.
We’re yet to see his pov and yall already going on fucking war against him omg calm down. Not to justify his action but literally started from chapter 1 we can already see who the main villain is, which is the FL’s father. This whole “abuse” arguments is so over the top because all he did, based on FL’s memory, is ignoring her, and FL’s father did WORSE. FL is mentally unstable in the past and couldnt treat her son well, hence why he took Elle off her until she got better.
Also SPOILER ahead, even though he didnt love her right from the start, he cared about her greatly, even during the birth labor, or during the time he went to the war arranged by no other than the FL’s dad. He wasnt as scummy as the FL remembered, i think the FL’s memory is a bit distorted at some point. FL’s father & his ex fiancee played big BIG role in separating them. He’s still guilty nonetheless for not being able to handle the situation well, and this what led Elle to madness, because Elle finally found out Reina is his mother long after her death. Elle resented his father for this and put him on the same place Reina spent her whole life with. Elle didnt give him food and he eventually had to eat grass, and he understood Reina’s misery and Elle’s pain, hence hoping to reverse the time to atone his sins. It’s hinted on that chapter during ML’s ex fiancee first appearance that ML also have the memories of the past, judging by how he warned FL something going to happen. I dont wish for them to love each other in this lifetime but i hope they would reconcile
