I think it’s when he tries to help things. He was growing normally until he wanted to help the plants grow. And when the bird went to the water, he tried to stop it from falling into the water and it grew. Also- when he tried to help the younger boy find his family, he grew when he held his hand. Correct me if I’m wrong

Confusion, so not all the time when Dam touches things they grow ??? The older guy and the village boy were both constantly touching Dam at various points and never grew ?
