It was Ruth who stopped him, to warn him of Maxi's presence. Riftan didn't know at first that Maxi is there at the scene. Seeing her there will put the intruders to worse case scenario, though. Riftan is mad. Like, super mad. He will be like, "One scratch, one head.", meaning, one scratch on Maxi, he'll behead one of those intruders. HAHAHA
