Yeah, like they both need to put in the effort. A relationship is made with two people, but they can’t even do the basics of communication XD like, ml would definitely believe her if she said she was locked up in a closet by his mother, since why would she lie? But she doesn’t and another misunderstanding happens. It’s kind of why I get peeved with the people in the comments that are like full blown hating on ml. Yes, he’s fcked up, but he also can’t read minds. He’s obviously someone that had a low EQ, so reading how someone feels will be hard for him, especially since mc doesn’t tell him anything. Her attitude made him misunderstand that she didn’t like him, and even the divorce talk only reaffirmed his already preconceived mindset about her.
Anyway, both of them really need to pick up the slack and talk it out so they can beat up the sht people around them XD
Ahh yes. If you were depressed, you would go to your husband who you think hates you and expose his beloved family in front of people he has business with. Absolutely! Great logic.
We know that she tried at the start but he never want's to sit down with her. There is no way she's gonna try now when he has been ignoring her from the start. Imagine having a first year of marriage where your husband barely wants to eat dinner with you....
A relationship is made with two people. Be he seems content to let his money do the talking while she at least tried at one point to actually spend time with him but was rebuffed. He didn't even know that she was sad that he didn't come to her on their wedding night. He just left and expected others to fill her in on why he had to leave. He could have at least told her himself that he had to travel. He has a communication problem. She started as normal but sank into depression because of his emotional neglect.
Chill, I’m not putting all the blame on mc. (I agree that ml is the one that has more problems on his end that needs to be fixed. Though they both need to communicate better.) Also, she’s had time to talk to him without being in front of people, so she easily could’ve told him about all the sht her in laws put her through. Her assumption was that he hates her, which is similar to how he assumes that she thinks she’s better than him. They both made assumptions and are now paying for it with their lack of communication. I was just saying they both are in a situation where their lack of communication is their own folly and it just becomes worse as each misunderstanding piles on top of the other. It’s not surprising they’re at where they’re at today. If they had talked about what they wanted out of the relationship, rather than expect the other person to know, in would’ve been a lot better for them(and they can also realize how the people around them are sabotaging sht)
Again, I’m just talking about what if scenarios at this point. If only they talked face to face with each other and both didn’t make assumptions. The mc had more backing to her’s but it was still an assumption. She never got it confirmed and he even denied the idea that he hated her. Because of this, they caused misunderstanding after misunderstanding, to the point it becomes hard for them to talk to each other. The mc thinks he hates her and the ml thinks she thinks she’s better than him. Couple that with the sht people around them, they really got the worst luck in their marriage. It’s just frustrating seeing how at least one conversation could clear things up so easily. Like, rather than tell him about how she has suicidal thoughts, that could lead him to believe that she doesn’t like being married to him, to the point she would rather die, she could’ve talked about why she felt so alone and stuff. Then they could’ve talked about every situation and even solve any misunderstandings that happened because of the fck faces in their life.
In my opinion, he had to work hard to stabilize his income so that she could live a stable life after having her title denounced. He wanted her to be able to have a background where people can’t shame her and also so she won’t leave him because of their lack of money(though it ended up backfiring and it was wrong of him to assume that about her) However, because of the people around them, they created another misunderstanding. The MC still thinks they’re in debt and the ml thinks that she doesnt like him and doesn’t even want a present from him(the dresses incident) this caused the both gf them to have a hard time interacting with one another. (Mc feels guilty and ml thinks she thinks she’s better than him and more “noble”) it’s situations like these that causes so much bad tension in their relationship. Like, if he hav personally gifted her the dresses, the problem would’ve never have happened, an even the fact about the debt would’ve been resolved and she would also learn why he was gone for the first year, trying to make a stable life for her.

Ngl, he did try to reach out to her by buying her those dresses and stuff. He just doesn’t know how to express his affections and sht. However, because of his sht mother, a misunderstanding was made and he thought that she was the one that was acting cold. He also gave her, her own money, which also shows that he has the money and she doesn’t have to worry about the wedding mishap. However, the brother comes in and fcking ruins things too. She doesn’t even knows it exists and ml thinks she’s actually using it. This causes them to create a bunch of misunderstandings. The mc doesn’t see his gestures and ml thinks she’s rejecting his gestures when she doesn’t even know about them in the first place. Wish they would just talk it out. Both of them def have different ideas of how to express their love an thy need to clear that up. (It’s like the love languages. He’s def someone that thinks gifts and money show his love while mc thinks quality time. However, because they have negative 500 in communication, they don’t know what the other wants or needs! Hgggg)
I don’t like how both of them won’t talk it out and constantly jump to conclusions. The ml is in more of the wrong since mc is in a more vulnerable spot and it’s easy to tell she’s depressed. Just from the first body switched he should’ve realized something was wrong. Anyway, this is so full of misunderstandings and I just want this story to get to the part where they talk things out and it because a story about healing ;;
