The father dosnt see Fl as human, to him the only child he ever needed was a "Heir" aka a son, But because of the acident his son was injured (can take up the sword and so forth) and his wife died (his only way to have a new son). So he blames FL for the son now being a "criple" and the wife being dead so he has to sofice with a future "criple" heir. To him Fl's life was insignificant so he sees her surviving as her failing to sacrifice herself for the future of the family (not dying in the mothers place, or taking the injury for the brother). After all Fl is female and the only reason the father had to keep her around was marrying her off, so to him she had no worth.
Thats the "justification" the father has. And i realy hate him for it.. so because his heir is a criple he thinks its ok to torture Fl and kill her when he sees fit... A real Ahole, psychotic piece of trash of a father!
