I don't think he's being controlled he's purposely doing it cause just by holding ur wrist tight isn't a big thing unless u have something to hide so he's purposely taking it lightly to like make them less suspicious well that's what I think
So about to he wrist... Priest dude held her wrist tightly. The wrist with her Nexus, which if exposed would of killed her with just that. That's why she panicked.... That's what I think. So, I think he was planning to kill her by crushing her Nexus.
thats is what i thought at first to, but the blonde guys eyes at the end make it look like he knows something more/did something but hopefully the next chapter gives us some more info
