Most kings/emperor's would only take virgin women to be their wives, but sometimes they took widowed women but there would be a possibility of an king/emperor getting STDs if they went to brothels a lot or take women who used to be prostitutes. STDs been around for a long time but idk about aids more like a modern (1800s - present day) thing. About recs idk try Concubine Walkthrough it's good.
Y'all I'm really curious about something. I read many isekai stories that the emperor have many wives and it makes me wonder, does the emperor in the past time got infected with aids? I mean the emperor slept around with many women, so it's no wonder they got aids and died young right?
