Agreed. It showed that rather than prejudice, his friend really just wanted to be relied on and not lied to. I honestly think he's a great friend for not jumping to "ew that's gay" and instead being like "I'm mad cause you didn't tell me". At the same time though, you can't be mad at the mc for lying, sometimes in these situations, people find it in their best interest to lie because they may get hate thrown at them; he was also really confused at the time. And did I mention that great fucking apology from his friend. It did feel rushed though, I see where you're coming from.
Really that support his friend all the way no prejudice he is not disappointed because he is a gay but rather did not in talk with him nor depend him like he used to.
