Yea and he did say it was all he's fault too
now that I read the cp 21 and 22 I blame the ml 10% because he was nobody when married to fl! fl father has a power that can make him and everybody crazy
practically the ml is powerless
but ml should have tried to talk with the fl as he's doing now, a few words will make her stronger like when she gave birth the action he takes was very important to the fl
Before i had the speculation that the ML was being controlled by the father of the FL which was true in some way but the ML seems to be at fault too because he decided to leave her alone and approached things in a way that makes her seem like a bother to him. His way of expressing things made her worse. His way of taking care of his son made it so that ELLE would be afraid of his own mother till the moment she died which is why he resented his dad leading the dad to end up in the same way his mother did, seeing everything he has done through her eyes and realizing that what he did was the worse decision he could've ever done. He might be innocent to some point but not to the point where he doesn't have a single fault. he probably has memories from then and is trying to fix things and Elle may actually be the reason why the duke even wished to redo everything he had done, like taking Elle away from the FL.
