you have to remember that this is based in Japan. In the US where gay marriage is legal it is incredibly difficult to adopt a child, in Japan, being homosexual is still swept under the rug and not talked about. gay marriage is far from being considered, and adoption is also going to be incredibly hard. years in the making. Thats why in a lot of these stories the couples go to other countries to get married or do adult adoption (which still isnt an easy choice because you are cutting all legal ties with your own family).
Yes it's true that it is still something that is not even considered in Japan. I just said it in passing because I know how difficult it is for them. it may have been accepted and possibly encouraged, but it seems to me that it was more of a "dont ask dont tell" type of world. as in, we dont really care what you do behind closed doors, just keep it behind closed doors.
So many feels right now why did you go and say that to him. You can adopt a kid and most importantly you should have talked about how you felt with him before you made such a rash decision. I need them to get back together asap.
