Sometimes when you angry you might say stuff you didn’t mean to say
She didnt want him to spend the seven years he did without her hating and pushing against the duke. Not to mention she never thought shed see him again.
If she was going to end up telling him that she was kicked out why even bother asking the maid to lie in the first place?
