Actually what relationships you see in books and tv shows have a lot to do with how we intemperate them irl, a lot of the on screen relationships are romanticized constantly. I’m not saying that this series is gonna make someone think this type of behaviour is okay but there’s no good reason as to why grown adults feel the need to make series about pedophilla/ illegal large age gaps. Especially since i’ve heard gay men talk about large age gap problems in their community.
That's a big oversimplification of the situation and on top of that generalization. Maybe you do that but not everyone else. And if one cannot critically and consciously consume content the they shouldn't interact with media at all. There is also a big difference between national TV and a niche within niche that is bl manga.

There are no prepubescent children here, this word is rly thrown around everywhere now. Second of all, there are plenty of good reasons. Maybe they are victims and this is how they deal with trauma. maybe they just wanna explore dark topics in a SAFE space that is fiction. Or maybe someone just wants to make some content and they put their fav fictional tropes or kinks in it (I'm omitting pedophilia here bc this manga is not it but rather a large age gap). When I was a hs student I had a crush on a teacher so yeah if I were an artist I would probably explore that in fiction with unrelated characters, should I go to jail bc I'm an adult now? Tf? Literally no one is harmed here but y'all's big ego.
Now abt your comment abt large age gaps, I assume we are talking abt adults here so it's literally not a problem. these are consenting adults making their own decisions, it's not a "problem". You could have a 20 year old dating a 60 year old and that's their own damn business and they aren't doing anything illegal or morally wrong.
