No since the side story wasn't lovely dovey at all at some point you can say the rapist got raped back(?)... About the uke getting raped is probably added to make the story longer? As in the author wanted a uke who survived rape and etc. And is trying to open up to a new life a new mind set... We should be glad that the uke is slowly changing thanks to the seme and the seme is starting to understand that people also go through tough times.. Which he wasn't able to completely understand in his father's case. Rape, tantrums, accidents.. Are things authors will add to bring a character down, but then prove that they can live on and find a living like any one.. On a side note the rapist (i think) disobeys his masters orders and was to be killed or fired (?).. And in the end whether it is to be mentioned in the story or not the "rapist" is also handled somehow... Not in the best way but they do get karma in the end and that's proven in many other romances.

I’m so many yaoi stories, the rapists usually get away with it or get a light punishment equivalent to a tap on the wrist. I would love to see one go to jail for their crimes or even get killed.
Not that i personally know any but i am sure if the story main idea was about rape victims and how they managed life after im 97.9 % sure the rapist was handed into jail etc. Especially bl or romances which take place in the past or so
I like to avoid such stories so I wouldn't know. I was reading one, Deadlock. They were all in jail. After the uke’s friend got brutally raped, the uke also got raped and that was the end of it for me. Someone said the rapists never really got their deserved punishment.
Now ofc everyone has an opinion on how to punish a rapist not that im very professional in this field so my way of saying how a rapist should be punished may be different or unacceptable in other people's opinion.. I've been a person to stay away from such cases (as in saying how to punish a rapist or what is rape).. All there's to say is.. We glad the uke made it.. And question why there was a side story.. Or just forget it since its not real.. But that's my opinion.

I heard that most Korean authors like to do that. Apparently, their audience love stories that involve rape in them. I don't know if this is a Korean story but if it is, then I am not surprised. If you want to give a story some angst, you don't need to add rape to it. I have never read a story where I said to myself; “Ah yes, this rape scene was necessary.” Never. You can talk about it without having to show us and even if you want to talk about it, it should be to advance the plot, not as some add-on or an afterthought.

So true. Rape is such a serious thing to be fetichized and used as a simple plot device. There are other ways to advance the plot and build up angst
