Cause the suspect is a bit of an influencial person, so police thinks that those who report him is just jealous cause this happened before but they saw no evidence. I dunno exactly but that's how I get it...
Yeah and the police receive the same report frequently to the point they think it just some sort of prank
Also he is a fraud and the killer is a well known respected author so obviously they are not going to just believe him.
and the police won't believe the mc more bc he tricks people that he's blind
