when grid build his kingdom, some bastard decided to kill khan. khan is poisoned but he don't want to get treatments because he knew his life is already that old. instead khan make an armor for grid and in the last minute grid finally saw khan for the last time. the armor that khan made for grid is the result for his love to grid like his own son, friend, and comrade. khan became the legendary blacksmith and his statue is in every single spot in overgeared kingdom to honor khan.
