That means you can feel it too. You can feel the impending change that's about to happen. And I don't think anyone will ever be prepared for it.
It's long overdue for Sawamura to stay in the shadows of someone who forgets that Baseball is a team based game. Who only cares about himself. I respect Furuya's talents as a pitcher- truly. But Eijun DESERVES that #1 on his back. He supports the team not just by cheering in the dugout he trains himself to become better so they can all go to nationals 'as a team'.
ps. wow so my post has so many grammatical mistakes... ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄-⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
I got a bit too emotional. chp 33 hit hard damnit.
Seriously ever since the came back from nationals Furuya's been really inconsistent with his pitching. In the latest chapter Miyuki's noticing that it's similar to how he first started. And we readers know that he isn't even thinking about the team. TEAM should be the #1 thing you consider when playing a game. It's keeps happening constantly in this series when someone in a team gets cocky they'll eventually lose. Look at Mei- EVERYONE knows he's one of the best pitcher in his generation but he still lost in the fall tournament. All because he became cocky and played for himself- so did his team. Hence why they lost.
I think this is the start of Furuya's downfall as and Ace. May be this is the inner frustration (bias) in me at the mangaka who keeps the spotlight off Sawamura. I think everyone is blinded by Furuya's pitches- yes he's that amazing. BUT Amazing players don't always become amazing Aces.
Can you feel it though.. it's in the air. someone big is about to happen soon. Once Eijun masters his pitches (numbers) then he will start to shine- LIKE THE DIAMOND HE IS DAMN IT!
