There's a saying "What you eat is what your body percieves."
Those people who complains about this have awareness—as most stories, novels, mangas and etc. are a reflection of reality. This may not be real but the idea itself is. That's what makes this manga interesting 'cause it's disturbing the system of society—the norms that enforced to us.
