Y’all are being mean to Melissa because she doesn’t understand Nine’s feelings but how is she supposed to know? Why would her first instinct be “oh he likes me” rather than “oh he thinks I can’t do it”. Like she knows she is the villain and she took him in when he was in a vulnerable position. Literally it was only after he got his powers back that he started being so defiant to her so it’s not far off to believe that he thinks she needs protecting instead of him being in love with her ya know?
