Because I'm soooo sure you would have done better. You ever be so sure you're making the right choice and it ends up being the worse choice? How dare you make the wrong choice! Guess you're a villain now. Was he in the right? No. But is he the villain? No. He was a young kid, scared, trapped and threatened. He did all he could. When he tried to stand up for himself, people died. When he tried to defend his wife, her life became endangered. He was a human who can't see what the future holds and made some bad choices. He didn't have much power or political pull and no real means to defend himself anyways. So he did what he thought was best for the time. The ghost of his wife whom he loved and failed to protect haunted him for the rest of his life. That's more torture than any one man deserves.
Now he has a second chance and is doing all he can to protect his wife and child and doing his best to step up and be the man he should have been but was too naive to be.

still enough to hire people like bodyguards, spies etc - you can't say he does not have the money or power with the title! and he can you know...fire people, since it is his fucking house! I don't see why he can't fire people that work under him like the FL did and don't say he can't, if the FL could then he could also do that and even more than her! it seems he just useless and let her father do what he wants with his family.

Umm bestie what..? Did you even read what I wrote. I obviously didn't call him a villain I just called him a coward because he was ignorant towards the problem and that came to bite him back in his ass. Why are you even comparing him to me lol. And about you saying he was a young kid , scared blah blah bullshit. Bestie what are you even on about??? Lol he wasn't young, he wasn't scared, trapped or threatened till his own life was in danger. He had enough political power as he was the owner of the estate, aristocrats especially learn how to fight for power since a very young age so you can't really defend him by saying be was 'naive' and didn't know better, he obviously knew but never acted on it. Only because the situation spiralled down so badly did he acknowledge the problem and regret it. Reina's 'ghost' or memories only haunted him because he regretted not doing shit and leading to the worst situation. I can surely tell you if his son didn't go down that path and he lived without confronting such problems that occured in the future he would've let go and accepted his situation like he did when Reina's bastard dad started to pull that shit.
Nope nope nope you're still not redeemed ml. The only reason her bastard was successful in manipulating his situation was because he was reluctant to act and kept pushing the problem back. He was reluctant to go against her father which made the situation so much more worse. Had he refused to that mf and TALKED to his wife and made his mind up to protect his women that tragedy would not have occured. He should've fought against that bastard instead of just sitting there and taking a punch knowing fully well how badly it would affect his wife. So don't blame the situation blame yourself for being a coward.
