The fact that its been stated several times that Akamine has bad memory when he’s drunk I could totally see that happening. Like him getting knocked out then not remember what happened when he woke up.
Plus I think thats the possible twist set up especially since I can imagine Utsumi wouldnt be able to live with himself afterwards especially if his plan succeeds and he completely fucks Akamines life up just for it to have not been him the whole time
Just a guess but the guy who ran away( Watanabe)and Akamine looked way too similar for it to be a coincidence. Gonna guess hes the one who betrayed the company and raped Utsumi. Probably attacked both of them when they were walking together.
