No? Lariensa is pretty much like Maryjun (I Swear I Won't Bother You, Again), Jeannette (Who Made Me a Princess) and Helena (Kill The Villainess) in the way she treated the og owner of the body our FLs reside in. The only difference is that Lariensa was established as the best friend of our FL from the get go.
Yeah, I don't hate any of the three characters you mentioned. Each one of thsoe was a victim of consequence and are actually complex and interesting characters and wh oare allowed to show 'ugly' emotions. Sorry I don't want characters who fall to the feet of the FL.
I feel like this is the first time I read the story which the characters actually feel like friends. It's nice. So many of these stories choose to make every other female character she meets either a bitch, or she adores the mc to the point it's a bit cult-like. This is a nice middle ground.
