okay so the ml (black haired one) is like an exorcist? he can get into peoples dreams etc and the mc (red haired one) was in a search of job but didnt know about the ‘exorcism’ or all the ‘dream demon’ stuff ..fast forward the ml gets possessed by some type of lust demon in a client’s dream while trying to protect the mc from it we still dont know how mc managed to get into the client’s dream though

When the client was instructed to count in intervals of 3, the assistant (red head) was following that same instruction. So he fell asleep and was able to enter the dream with the exorcist.
At least that's what I think happened.
