His original body died as u can see at the chapters when he was still Kirihito in the underwold. He's soul will never cease to exist, it was mentioned. So he got reincarnated as a girl and it was tomoe who Kirara (Akura-ou) was with when they were at the park eating ice cream
I see... Well I already read the manga till their marriage but I don't remember which chapter that kirihito a.k.a Akura-ou dead... I watch the anime too till Tomoe & Nanami married but there's no scene Akura-ou dead too that I see
I guess you forgot but it happened in chapter 139 and 140. Like I said Akura-ou didn't actually die, just his body. His soul is still alive that's why he got reincarnated
