He did want him safe by his side, but the problem was he did not want to lose the freedom and position that he had as well. He was greedy as he wanted both and failed to think of the consequences that this would entail. However, I couldn’t really blame him for it as we all have the tendency to be greedy when everything seems to go well for us. :/

He really is selfish. But ig in his mind, he was thinking: what did he sacrifice all those people for if he can’t be together with Chihwan again? Hence, he’s doing whatever it takes to be with him even if it means ruining Chihwan’s happiness.
But yeah it can’t be helped that people wouldn’t have the same sentiments as me since Joohyun did horrible things that can’t be excused. It’s fine though. Peace out. |-^)v
I really can’t help but feel a little bad for Joohyun... what has happened to him and Chihwan is truly a pity.
The “betrayal” that he did back then reminds me of the quote, “A hero would sacrifice you to save the world, but a villain would sacrifice the world to save you.”
I give zero fucks about Sungha tho. I wouldn’t feel anything if he gets killed by Chihwan again.
