Dj are usually taking ideas from already made comics/stories. I wouldn’t call it plagiarism more like a fan book. We get to see a visual representation of the story. Artists are usually fine with Dj’s because it brings more fans and brings richness to the fandom. And a lot of pros start out as dj artists too. Clamp is a famous example.

sorry but this (i mean, the plot) is an official side story, aight? i just want to clear my mind becoz the idea of "dj" for me is when someone (mostly, a fan ofc) will make a fanfic (of the original story) with their 'own plot and art' but its most likely that the author/artist of this, just created a manhua scene from the novel (prolly becoz it wasn't adapted into manhua yet?) but it could still be called a doujinshi ig... btw, i mean no hate <33
