The two don't even know each other to even like each other. At this moment, they're one of the worst couples. And it isn't because it's wrong that the FL has low-self esteem and suffering from trauma, it's that the ML isn't equipped to handle that.
i think she should be giving space and time she has gone through a lot but him constantly wanting to be there to protect her puts a lot of pressure not just that he brought her back and immediately told her this your place do whatever you want i’m supprised he hasn’t noticed the way she acts around people she is terrified how can he not notice honestly i don’t think they are a toxic couple i just think she need more time to be able to speak to him instead of trying to make her feel better by sex he should try and talk to her
I think their dynamic is pretty toxic. Inexperienced, low self-esteem, and infantilised younger girl and brute, bigger age and size, more experienced and more respected older man. There's also the big power imbalance between the two that raises more red flags to me. It's more the trope/cliche that they represent which is harmful and toxic than this specific couple. I've seen worse couples of this trope but that doesn't make this couple good either.

agree but the story plot overall seems to be trying to make her have this evolution within her putting her in position where makes her realize she needs to stand up for herself and speak up like the plot line is like lowkey trying to build up her confidence and all
Yeah, I honestly have no problem with the FL. She's actually trying to change for the better. I'm angrier at the ML who doesn't try to change for her. Be dense as a rock but don't yell at your wife and then try to silence her with a kiss. Like she was about to talk to him and he just kisses her will he's still angry, and I know he isn't angry at her, but he shouldn't be directing that emotion to her.
They're such an ill-matched couple. She can't communicate honestly because of her abuse, and he has no delicacy to even try. He literally doesn't even try to understand his wife, like wtf, I thought you liked her. Both don't have the capability to understand each other in a way that is needed for even a decent relationship. All they do well is have sex. I wish the story would focus less on the physical aspect, because first of all it isn't as hot as the author thinks it is, and two I would be more invested if I actually liked the couple.
