Yes it's her previous life cuz the old Fu jiu soul died and Z (previous life of the new fu jiu) soul transmigrated to fu jiu's body.

It really was confusing especially they did not specify it at the first few chapter. I also thought that re was just givin a chance or sumthing. Then I read the novel and that answer all my confusion.
