When it comes to smart but idiotic ukes Mushroom Syndrome: Cum or Die’s uke fits that description. He thought that it was the same for him too(I think that he is right) and they both misunderstood each other at the lake. stil I guess that both of them are at fault because the duke should've explained what he really wanted and Jace should've confirmed his feelings and asked the duke what is the truth, but as Jace is a baka, he misunderstood everything
