I hate where the author is going with this. Taewan has been so toxic and abusive but now it's introduced that he was abused also so it's supposed to redeem his character. JUST BECAUSE HORRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN TO YOU DOESNT MEAN YOU GWT TO DO HORRIBLE THINGS TO OTHERS.

I'm pretty sure its gonna be like BJ Alex where he is toxic in the beginning but warms up and actually starts to like the other

It's such a common trope in writing. Just gets me frustrated. Especially when if you actually do research on statistics of victims of abuse/sexual assault it is significantly less likely of those people becoming abusers themselves.

I agree it’s such a common trope in writing but I’m not sure how he’s been toxic/abusive? They have a rough relationship because Yeonwu literally kissed him without his consent when they were in highschool…I feel like anyone would be upset if they had happened to them. Him being rude stems from that incident and as shown in recent chapters, Yeonwu also knows he was in the wrong for their past. What horrible thing has he done to others…? He doesn’t ‘use’ Yeonwu for sex because they have a consensual mutual FWB relationship.

I agree with the first thing you said, horrible things does not excuse more horrible things. But statistics can be finicky. Who’s gonna admit to the skeletons in their closet? What constitutes abuse? I’m sure emotional, verbal, and educational abuse are hard things to prove and calculate in statistical form while physical can be easier but even then it’s impossible to know real true numbers without asking every person on this planet and watching them like stalkers.
