right like why are the darker characters always the “desert savages” or “undignified mercenaries with a heart of gold” why cant we just be princesses and queens without some allusion of being ‘dirty’ due to our skin color
YESS!!! It’s honestly racist. I’ve seen a pattern of them using influencers of other cultures in manhwa’s & portraying them badly
yes yes yes ive noticed this a lot too!! like whenever they have princesses from ‘foreign lands’ come and theyre dark they always portray them in a racist way and its so gross to see
Black skin is rare cause its from south korea and idk if y'all notice but 90% of their citizens is hella white and white was the beauty standards over there.
Im not saying they're not racist, but they're different kind of racist so....

can i just mention that i love that we have a darker skinned fl??? like i have never seen a fl thats darker than pasty white so this is exciting!!! its a little off to me that the only way they saw fit to create a darker fl was as part of a ‘monster/beast’ arc, but im glad we have one nonetheless
