mmm i don't think so..they said he was hit by a car and i doubt Shiro would still work for them if he knew even if he felt like his life was meaningless..i think it was just an accident since he just stepped into the street in a rush to get to shiro
I'm glad he wasn't killed for trying to take Shiro with him, but that's too sad!
