I think it's more of a moral implication rather than a mixing of the gene pool thing though that certainly is a problem. Some people just take this stuff too seriously. It's a manga, a fictional piece of work and there are worse ones out there. They aren't even blood related so really it's just people getting on their high horse to yell at the world where incest is rarely even discussed or thought about. I personally don't have a problem with it. People will fall in love with whomever they choose and no one has room to say otherwise. But like I said, this piece is fictional. So i don't know why people are making a big deal out of it.
I am probably gonna come off as extremely naive and ignorant...but
The main reason incest is frowned upon is because of mixing of gene pool right? The chances of giving birth to a kid with a really bad illness because of recessive genes and all that stuff.
So guys don't give birth to kids, what's the reason to stop them apart from society being all high and mighty and calling it immoral. Someone educate me.
