    As an artist ... not necessarily but I do (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I use the side charcoal to shade our hand are use to knowing how to not use a lot of pressure

    Personally, I sharpen my pencil that way too to get better strokes and textures when drawing with graphite the length of the graphite at the end helps with making a variety of stroke weights you can create when turning the pencil in different angles

    I also sharpened my pencils like that.. like Issy_mh8 said to get better strokes and textures also and for defined lines and such..

    if im the one using that even while holding, the graphite thingy will surely break. i don't really have a good grip control lol

    really? wouldn't that be hard to use? it looks like 1-1.5 inch long.

    I saw my friend do that once and I tried to copy her because it looks cool but I just can't and my drawing sucks, I sometimes wonder why I'm the only one in the group with zero talent most of my friends are artist
