You should read the web novel. (I don't remember the link, sorry). The MC was so bullied and saw this as just another way to bully him. The ML was the reason everyone was so mean to him. It's like the meanest person in highschool catfishing you. You're studying alone in another country, your classmates are bullying you because the most popular guy didn't like you for some reason, you finally make a friend online and fall for them, and you travel to another city just to meet them only to find out it was someone who you felt tormented by for months.
Ngl if it's me i'd be freaking out like, it's scary to just imagine.. Like there was no safe place to begin with, the one that make u comfortable and makes u happy so u can survive trough out the day is the one that cause u the problem, like the safeness is gone. That's terrifying
He's the reason why people bullied MC, he's like the alpha of those people in laboratory, everyone wants to gain his favor, so when he showed his dislike to MC, people started to bully and outcasted MC
He also let the bullying happened because he also hated him, there's a misunderstanding that MC got into the lab because of a favor from a professor, not because of his own skill, so when he smelled his shampoo/bodywash that he didn't like, he clearly shows his disgust, that's the start point where people in the lab bullied MC, and he didn't care about it
After he fell in love with MC, he throw a death glare to his followers who bullied MC, AND THE BULLY IMMEDIATELY STOPPED, he just simply throw a glare and the situation changed, some of you keep saying "he wasn't the bully", but he's the reason why the bullying happened, he can stop the bullying that easily but he didn't do it since the start, he's also not blind of the bullying, he clearly witnessed what his followers did to MC, but he let them because he's too judgemental toward MC at that time, everything changed because he fell in love with MC, but it doesn't mean he didn't make mistakes at all
I'm glad the majority understand MC's reaction, but the minority like you don't understand what's going on, didn't directly bully him doesn't mean he's innocent, he's heavily involved, he's even the core of everything who has the authority to start and end the bullying itself

Honestly I think he's kinda of overreacting, Andrew wasn't the bully but he wasn't comfortable with the way he smelled. I can't really blame him cause a lot of people have sensitive nose like me! If I'm uncomfortable with something I can't help but react and make faces.
