I think it's basic courtesy to not date someone who you know was emotionally part of your friend's life. It's not just about the codes and all that, but simply because it isn't right. and even with the standards we had back then, it's still a basic dick move regardless.

I told my friend that I still had feelings for my ex Bc she had feelings for my ex too but I was chill with it. I was jealous at first but then i sorted my ass out. We broke up. We ended. There’s nothing more in our relationship. We may meet yes but I’ll rather not meet. That’s my mindset. Although it may cause tension but if if your friend and ex truly love each other then SUPPORT THEM.

I could forgive that Erica broke up with Leo because she's afraid of loving him more deeply just to be dumped for Yulliana like in the novel, however based on the spoilers somewhere down the section, it seems the progression of the plot made her a btch. If she really could see that Leo wasn't the same Leo in the novel, & she still likes him enough to give him hope but goes for the friend anyway is pretty much an asshole move. The writing really made her a true villainess!
Honestly I think going for your ex's bff is a douche move. That's just horrible esp if you know at least one is still in love. I can't seem to like Zion & Erica's future relationship in this case
