Maybe I'm interpreting this different but I dont think the ML is that bad. She started the dishonesty by running away and lying first and I think everything after was miscommunication. I think when she asked about what he would do if someone came forward with kids it was meant for other women because he probably never slept with anyone other than her. But that scared her so she started lying more and hiding it while he was waiting for her to come to terms and was probably dealing with that other crazy Arisa chick or whatever her name was. Its not like he really understands his feelings fully anyways.
