He doesn't, he's probably assuming. I was thinking that he IS Deeli, with memories from his past life, but this manga kinda made it a point that his soul traveled...
Yup. Since it's obvious he was born, meaning he is REINCARNATED. He can clearly remember being inside the womb, meaning the soul inside the fetus is and will always be him. But I guess that's not exactly something that he knows about. From how workaholic he is in his past life, I don't think he learned much about souls and stuff.
Wait. So instead of reincarnating, he killed the original Deeli's soul and took his body? How does he know that's what happened?
