Namely in response to all the people STILL talking shit about Hwaryun…
Y’all seriously be out here sleeping on my home boy Hwaryun who is literally going to save this entire story’s ass, including Rahan’s ass, and y’all are actually acting like Suu belongs with a mfing demon child that doesn’t understand humanity and has the emotional capacity of a 10-year-old. I can’t believe this shit. The mfing dragon. The same dragon who manipulated Suu and deceived Suu BIG TIME?? That fucker? And, you’re justifying Sahara’s actions towards Suu while shitting on Hwaryun who has legitimate reasons for being cautious and calculating?
“Ohh, Sahara’s love is purer for Suu because at least he did this, did that, bLAH BLAH BLAH!! Hwaryun, on the other hand, broke Suu’s ankle and manipulated him wah wah!! Therefore, he is a monster and Suu should be with Sahara!”
Let me point out the difference between Hwaryun and Sahara so listen carefully.
Hwaryun is a human who acts with objectivity, actively making sacrifices-no matter how heavy his heart is-to secure and protect the future of his country. Sahara is a being that acts without seeing any fault in his actions.
Now, you tell me if Sahara is truly deserving of the affections, double standards, and praise you so easily offer him. I will tell you right now: you don’t want to live in a world where people behave without understanding that their actions have consequences. A person who does not see that they are flawed is a person who will never be open to any discussions regarding change and improvement.
It’s been 139 chapters and I’m honestly amazed by how so many of you still fail to recognize the importance and tragedy of Hwaryun in this story. At this point, it’s a talent to still not understand how fundamentally crucial Hwaryun is to the entire plot. Most of y’all literally wrote him off from day one without having any understanding of this story and it shows. Don’t act like this isn’t the case. I literally see your confused asses in the topics section. I see y’all shipping Sahara and Suu together while badmouthing Hwaryun without any legitimate evidence to support your tactless claims.
Don’t even get me started on the badmouthing of Hwaryun. Holy shit. Ever since Ch.139 was posted, I just see every other person talking about Hwaryun breaking Suu’s ankle. Like, seriously? Is that all you have to say? Is this the only piece of evidence you have for why Hwaryun is a “bad guy?” What about the context of the situation and the story’s setting? Is there any regard for either or did we throw those things out the window, as if context and setting are irrelevant? Forget the ships for a second. Forget romance. Personally, I don’t place high value on the ships in this story because the romance is just icing on top of the WHOLE GOD DAMN CAKE. Let’s talk about something with substance; let’s talk about something real.
Y’all keep saying the same shit over and over and it’s getting to be so redundant. Show me why Hwaryun is so bad. Where is the evidence? What else can you say about him? I’ll guarantee that you will have to reread most parts of the story to fully inform yourself and then you will see how any assumptions about Hwaryun can easily be discounted. Never mind Hwaryun’s background. Fuck Hwaryun’s status in the palace and fuck the fact that he will (most likely) never be able to pursue his own happiness and desires. Never mind the fact that he’s doing everything he can to preVeNT THE FUCKING EVIL BITCH ASS NOBLE CONSORT FROM TAKING OVER AND DESTROYING ALL OF RAHAN. No, fuckkk that guy. He’s a bad dude because he broke Suu’s ankle and didn’t say sorry. Boohoo. Fuck the context.
Like… guys??? Are we reading the same story??? Seriously. 139 chapters. I thought that by now it has been blatantly established: Hwaryun is the one shining beam of hope in this entire fecal festival. How can you sit there, point fingers, and talk shit about the guy who is literally driving the plot? There is no plot if there is no Hwaryun—moreover, there is no plot if Hwaryun is not there to save Rahan. How can the author make this fact any more obvious to readers?
The crazy thing is that the more you get to understand this story, the more you realize how unlikely it will be for these characters to have a traditional happy ending. A happy ending for this story may not be the conventional “let’s frolic into the sunset and live happily ever after together.” A happy ending for this story may be freedom in a form that might be unsettling to the average reader who is here for romance. If half of you understood the deep shit that our male leads, Hwaryun and Suu, are currently trudging through, then this possibility may be alarming to you. For example, the happy ending could be freedom in the form of death or freedom in the form of parting. Frankly speaking, seeing how this author has developed this plot, I wouldn’t be surprised if there isn’t a happy ending for any of the male leads or Sahara. I wouldn’t be surprised if romance is not included in the finale. If there is a finale with romance, then I suspect that Hwaryun would be endgame because the man literally carried this entire plot on his tank-ass shoulders like a champion. Against all odds, Hwaryun is the hero who comes out on top; this is the trope that the author employed for this story, according to how the plot has developed thus far. Anyway, I digress.
I swear that more than half of the readerbase for this manga consists of 13-year-old One Direction and Justin Bieber fans who have failed or are currently failing their English literature class. Look, you’re entitled to your own opinion and I don’t care if you genuinely find Suu and Sahara cute together, but I can’t fucking stand misinformed opinions and shitty arguments. I have yet to see a single person post their analysis on Hwaryun, listing the facts and evidence for why he is inherently trash. Post it. Let me read what you have to say. As far as I’ve seen, the people who do posts their analyses have pretty much held the same opinion on the character in which many acknowledge that Hwaryun is a good guy who is trying to play his cards right to achieve a righteous goal. Ship him with Suu or don’t ship him; just don’t trash talk the best player in the game for no legitimate reason.
I know that this rant is going to trigger many of you. I know that I sound hella aggressive. This rant was intended to be semi-comedic and semi-serious. I never planned on sugarcoating my words or being nice. Downvote my ass. I couldn’t give a flying fuck either way. All the 13-year-old One Direction Larry shippers are going to be coming for my ass anyway. Watch me break my own ankle and heal it while the Larry shippers come at me for having broken both of their ankles.
Just please. Fucking stop using the “Hwaryun broke Suu’s ankle” card because it’s a shit piece of evidence for an even shittier argument: “Hwaryun is a bad guy and, therefore, should not be Suu’s love interest.”
Truee.. noone mention that consort bitch, and always blame suryeon as he’s not an important chara..People should read the summary again, this story is about Rahan, not about Suu~~ Neroron
Since the beginning they were irking my nerves I'm like yall don't see what this bitch is doing. Lmao the reason why half this shit is happening is because of the consort but they can wrap their pea brains around that.
