Gojou is a serious threat to them, he could wipe all the higher ups out in seconds. That's the reason why they are using this situation to get rid of him for good.

I hate them more than I hate Gakuganji. He killed Yaga cause he can't go against the jujutsu association higher ups. He was just doing his job and also he was unaware of Yaga's technique on how he created Panda which was deemed as very dangerous.
Also, those fckn higher ups are accusing Gojo as an accomplice in the Shibuya Incident just cause Getou is alive when he was supposedly been killed by him years ago. Bruh! They also wanna kill Yuji (now they think he's already killed by Yuuta) cause they are afraid of what might happen if Sukuna takes over again.
Honestly, these higher ups are all wussies. They resort to stupid plans and executions instead of thinking of more effective countermeasures.
