That what I say to my friends. The only reason I'm okay with things like rape is because it's fiction. The characters are not real so I would feel the same about something bad happening to them as I do real people.

I too have been in a few arguments and trying to make people understand that fiction and reality are different, and no one here defends real life abuse. as a person who enjoys effed up stories I've met with these kind of people frequently. thank you again for explaining it beautifully

So it's not new for me to see hateful feedbacks, and I think the best way to dealt with them is to explain it in good manner
I'm not saying that we should normalize rape, but for how many years we've been reading stuff like this are we not still used yet? Again I'm not supporting any sexual harassment, I genuinely abhor it, but lets keep this in our mind, the plot the characters and the story will remain in the book, the only problem is if we let ourselves be influenced by it and adopt it in real life, a fiction is a fiction. A reality is a reality. Please remember that.
