It’s probably because the old queen used to poison herself just to get the king attention so he probably think she played a part in it.
I agree he should trust her a bit more but the past her made it hard to just trust her since it could be an act. (Even though we know it’s not.)

The secretary the right hand or whatever he is can't he just trust the fl a little bit. I know she did bad things to Blanche in the past but to questioning the event that almost kill herself?
