I think they already solved that problem when mc and system creator had a fight. the creator was also surprised that it was still our mc even though it awakened the memories of the monarch. so he overpowered the monarch I suppose.
The upgrader noticed the 'it' in our MC. Is it a flag that pertains that the mc will be overwhelmed/taken over by his power at some point. I read a comment saying that the mc already took over the shadow monarch position, thus no worries about being overtaken by the old shadow monarch, but wouldn't the monarch of frost noticed if he did? I think the shadow of monarch simply give the mc a little of recognition and went into slumber, but will end up in a sort of situation with the mc. Friends perhaps? Or taking over then realizing that the mc is a person tgat can take his place? Idk
