Back then i was thinking that what eren did it's for paradise island. But after those extra chapter i change my mind. What eren did it's nothing more for humanity nor paradise island, it's just for his friends. In those extra chapter eventually paradise island still got attacked there's no peace in the end. At this moment i'm more agree with zeke plan but hey it's already ending just enjoy what we got

This was a realistic ending honestly. We all know that history is bound to repeat itself when people don't learn from the past. And it giving a full cycle to where it is infered that the kid will become the new ymir, it is fitting(humanity is dumb and they're always thinking of destroying themselves). Thanks to eren, the island was safe for manyyy more years. If you think "well he didn't need to die then". U wrong. The small paradies wouldn't had been able to stand attack from the whole world. They just didn't had the means nor knowledge to win agaisnt people that had way more advance technology. He bought them time and peace for the long time that it lasted.
