Looking back, you're right. But at this point she's caught between her feelings of love for Yuna, her guilt for hurting her (although it wasn't really until that moment that she really knew how much she'd hurt her) and her obligation to the prof.
And also the lowkey threat of her academic career being ruined if she breaks her professor's heart. (which is why profs shouldn't date students in the first place.)
