Not exactly. The only reason everyone hates him is his cruel actions with Jooin. The fact that he still fails to understand that he’s in the wrong entirely and why. There have been literal nearly expressionless characters, even semes, in other stories that the audience have liked. It has nothing to do with them being “emo” or anything.
There isn’t only one reason as to why everyone hates him. Yes, he treats Jooin in a cruel way but the way he delivers himself towards other people including Jooin feeds into that which is why the person mentioned his expressions meaning the way he chooses to express himself which is poorly. His whole composure throughout this was flat and unreadable.

I see your point, about expressionless or even characters, I'm not a fan of them either.
And I totally agree that the main reason he's problematic and unlikeable is because of his very poor actions and attitude. But when we add to his awful demeanour and self absorption nearly no facial expressions other than bored-angry-sneaky, it's just worse for me.
Ok, but whether you like him or not, Yahwi should've been given more expressions as a character. I think one of the reasons why people hate on him, including me (apart from rape and questionable attitude) is because he's designed to be this flat, expressionless emo.
Cain has been given more emotions and expressions. And I get Yahwi's meant to be a cat, but cats aren't that boring, deflated and angry... They express themselves differently to dogs, yes, but they still do have a range of emotions which they manifest. There, I said it. Just needed to get it off of my chest.
