Fun fact: A person's gender and sex are 2 different things. Sex is what is defined by physical attributes (like genitalia) and gender is that person's identity. So in that regard a boy can be genderless I guess, in the sense that he's physically male but doesn't really identify with any gender. That's what I know, but if like I'm wrong, I'd like to be corrected (nicely pls).

One of my friends is transgender and he still has a vagina but he’s still a man regardless of that.
People who say they are genderless still have a penis or vagina but if they don’t identify as a male or female they’re still genderless.
Idk if I explained that properly.. but even if they have a vagina or penis they aren’t mentally their birth gender.

I think that’s what they meant when they said “Genderless boy” it just doesn’t sound right. Harada/( or the translator bc I’m not sure who wrote that) should’ve maybe explained a little about what they meant aha.
I don't think Harada or the translator considered it that big of a thing to explain, maybe it was just a small subtle part of the plot that didn't need any special focus.
It’s just a oneshot and going into detail about that would be pointless.

Hi, there is a trend in Japan called genderless style which consists mainly in looking androgynous, but it's not a gender and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with it, it's like the jirai kei style, visual kei, yknow. I believe that's what it means! :)
