well in my personal opinion I think wht marie meant is that she is glad that their child was nothing like the king and queen

Yeah i agree that the prince would be a reminder of her past but again it wasn't his fault that his father was a dumbass whore who would sleep with absolutely anything that at least decent looking and called it love and his mother was a fake ass bitch who home wrecked the fl married. But then again I am glad things turned out this way(not the fl getting killed part though) because now the fl can be truly happy with a faithful and loving partner. And honestly i feel bad for the prince for having a mother and father like those people.
His mere existence is the reminder of her past life. She should be disgusted and traumatized as he is the child born from her past life fiance's infidelity. She should keep her distance from him.
