I read an article on the bbc news website which had an African albino go back to his home town to confront a shaman in regards as to why they do this because he had an older brother with the same condition who went missing and when he was finally found he was dead with several organs missing, but people there believe that certain parts of a black albino would help with the crop harvest in making sure that it would succeed and help women get pregnant and bring the child to full term etc...

This line stopped us up for a moment. But in the end, it was decided that our job was to translate and glasses guy is entitled to his own myopic opinion. This story is written by a Japanese person about a German town and then you see it translated into English. The possibility of culture clash over what is appropriate is not small. ^^;

Okay, I'm going to sound super PC and nitpicky, but I have a problem with the fact that when the guy mentions killing albinos for their parts he says "black people". Last I checked, the average black person is not doing this. That's like saying all Asian people practiced footbinding which is blatantly false as it was a Chinese tradition and then only among the very upper class. What they're referring to is known as "Muti murder/killings" with "muti" being a Swahili word for Medicine. As near as I can tell, it's prevalent in at least 16 countries of Africa including South Africa, Swaziland, Burundi, Lesotho, and Tanzania, but it is by no means a "black person" thing. You don't hear about that kind of shit happening in Jamaica or the United States.
Now the guy saying it may have just been an overgeneralizing idiot but I hope y'all have learned something from my small rant about proper usage of language. And what the hell, here's a link if you're interested in reading more on the topic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_people_with_albinism
